a dazzling jeweled bottle at the end of 2011. The scent, with notes of Madagascan vanilla, Sri Lankan cinnamon, and Calabrian green tangerine, is housed in a bottle adorned in Swarovski stones.

House of Sillage set out to create a fragrance that exemplifies the essential elements that define luxury. The parfumerie’s aim was to focus on the art of fragrance by using the best quality ingredients to produce exciting prestige scents that stand apart from other perfume houses, says founder Nicole Mather. Sillage is the French word for the scent that lingers after the wearer has left, and the Tiara scent and package design both leave a lingering impression.

Every detail in a House of Sillage product, ranging from the exotic ingredients to the extraordinary aesthetic appeal, was intricately designed, explains Mather, who has a background in the financial services industry, but who says she has always been captivated by the science of scent and the art of perfume.

“I admire the brilliance of scent, and how it can transport you to another place and time,” she explains. “We have created a line of luxurious and sophisticated fragrances, gathering wisdom from people who have devoted their lives to this particular kind of beauty.”

Working with French master perfumer, Francis Camail, Mather and House of Sillage collected components from exotic locales to create the Tiara parfum. The coupling of rare ingredients tailored by experience and time-honored attention to detail, produces aromatics that evoke feminine sensuality, but yield to and engage with each wearer in mysterious ways, Mather adds.

fragrance aficionados. “Some people have called us the Faberge of cupcakes. We have a beautiful hand-polished glass with different jeweled caps,” says Andrea Dort, director of sales and marketing, House of Sillage. She notes the response to the luxurious packaging and fragrance has been overwhelming.

The company worked with all French manufacturers for the Tiara package. The luxe bottle comes nestled in an elegant, pristine white coffret made of lacquered wood. Tiara is a limited edition that retails for $1,200 for 75ml of extrait de parfum in a bejeweled presentation. Tiara is available at www.houseofsillage.com

The company has several new fragrances in the works and promises the packages will be equally as stunning as Tiara with Swarovski stones and settings often used in jewelry.
